Apparatjik gig at CTM.10, Berlin 12/21/2009
Recent rumours of an Apparatjik performance in Berlin has been confirmed. The band will appear as part of CTM.10, Berlin’s festival for Adventurous Music and Related Visual Arts. Apparatjik Apparatjik's first live performance - Monday 1st February 2010 - at Transmediale, Berlin.  Also posted today was a blog from CTM giving more information about the performance... "On Monday February 1st, 2010, CTM.10 will host the world debut of the mysterious Apparatjik project with a very special performance. Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, the ‘Bauhaus Bühne’, and Lazlo Moholy-Nagy’s work ‘Light-Space-Modulator’ from 1930 in particular, this first ever performance of Apparatjik will take place inside a specially constructed cube at the newly reopened WMF. Apparatjik is a project fusing scientific interest and artistic effort. Apparatjik Well, there's egg and bacon egg sausage and bacon egg and spam egg bacon and spam egg bacon sausage and spam spam bacon sausage and spam. The latter is either a reference to our internet promotional efforts for the new track or to their spamming of their own facebook page. Either way, the quote is from a famous Monty Python sketch about spam (the tinned meat product).  Facebook: The facebook changes today include a new profile picture, the addition of all the intro videos and an updated status - Binary code coming at you on November 30th. They have also added several new photo albums; one album of their own photos and two albums containing the pictures that Apparatchicks sent to their upload page on apparatjik.com.  Apparatjik More is coming but there are many forces at work. Too many forces if you ask us! Both Jonas and Magne are currently in the middle of European tours with their main bands, Mew and a-ha respectively so it's inevitable that Apparatjik would have to take a back seat for a few weeks.  Apparatjik No one can drive us crazy unless we give them the keys. In other news, apparat-chick Lauren recently discovered a way to get inside the intriguing cube on apparatjik.com. There's nothing inside the box just yet, but the fact that it is accessible is quite promising. To get in, right-click with the mouse and select the play option. Keep doing this until the box rotates all the way round and finally it will flip on its side and the top face will open revealing a yellow square, like this...

Quick update on the recent twitter tweaks...firstly a new profile pic...  (Nice colours but why do they have to make them so small!) All the old tweets have been deleted, leaving just the "Start. Journey.." one from 9th August, giving a definite feeling that they are starting anew with a fresh online presence.
